3rd Cornet
Playing Experience
I come from a musical family, piano players, piano teacher, violin player and brass!  I was taught to play the cornet in the Salvation Army at the age of 13.  I would like to think I got my talent from my grandfather and I continued to play in the Salvation Army until I was 15.  After marriage, children and grandchildren I joined Jayess Newbiggin band in 2014.  My playing experience is definitely 'on going' and I am gaining experience all the time.

Favourite piece
My favourite piece is  Cyril Jenkin's 'Light of the World' though there are many others I enjoy playing.

Favourite banding moment
My favourite band moment was playing at a wedding at Christmas time.
